My name is Hubbis Fabian (She/Her/Ella), and I am the founder of Path of Compassion Family Therapy. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA #135664), a BBS-approved clinical supervisor, and a mentor to emerging therapists. I am also working toward my AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation to further support the development of future clinicians.
I hold a Master’s degree (M.A.) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, Sacramento Campus (2020), and am currently completing my Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University, graduating in 2025. With over ten years of experience in the mental health field and four years as a practicing therapist, I have worked with diverse clients in various clinical settings, providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
A Compassionate & Holistic Approach to Healing
My passion for supporting diverse populations stems from my immigration journey. I was born in the Dominican Republic (DR) and immigrated to the United States as a teenager. Growing up in a multicultural, bilingual environment and now raising a bi-cultural family, I deeply understand the challenges and strengths that come with navigating different cultural identities. My lived experience has shaped my ability to create a safe, affirming space for individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds.
I believe that healing is not about fixing what is broken—but about rediscovering the inner strength and wisdom that already exist within each person. My approach to therapy is compassionate, strength-based, and integrative, blending evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and self-compassion with holistic healing practices.
In addition to psychotherapy, I am trained in holistic healing and alternative therapies. As a Usui Reiki Master and Holistic Energy Healing Practitioner, I offer clients the opportunity to explore energy healing as a complementary approach to emotional well-being. By addressing both the mind and the body's energy fields, I help individuals restore balance, resilience, and inner peace in their healing journey.
Mentorship & Leadership in the Mental Health Field
Beyond my work with clients, I am passionate about mentoring and guiding new therapists. As a BBS-approved clinical supervisor, I am committed to nurturing the next generation of therapists through supervision, training, and professional development. I am also working toward my AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation, which will further enhance my ability to support and mentor future clinicians in the field of marriage and family therapy.
At Path of Compassion Family Therapy, we are more than just a therapy practice—we are a community of healers working together to create meaningful change for the individuals and families we serve. My goal is to empower both clients and clinicians to embrace healing, growth, and self-compassion.
Compassion for Self. Compassion for Others. Compassion for the World.
