Japsuleen Kaur
As a trilingual Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT#143281) fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, I recognize the importance of cultural identity and language in shaping our experiences and mental health. I strive to create a space where clients feel truly seen, understood, and supported in a way that honors their backgrounds and unique perspectives.
At Path of Compassion Family Therapy, we believe in the power of compassion to transform our relationships—with ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities. Through this lens, I help clients foster self-acceptance, strengthen their connections, and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and resilience.
I provide a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed space for children, teens, and individuals. My approach is both person-centered and body-centered, recognizing that healing happens when we address both the mind and the body. I believe in the innate resilience of each person and work alongside my clients to help them uncover their strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change.
Drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and play therapy, I tailor my approach to meet each client’s needs. I am also trained in Brainspotting (BSP Phase 1), a powerful modality that supports the processing and release of trauma.
Whether you are navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, panic attacks, postpartum challenges, divorce-related stress, or other life transitions, I am here to help you move toward healing and emotional well-being. My goal is to empower clients to cultivate self-compassion, build resilience, and create a life that aligns with their values.
I am available on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (Morning to evening) and Friday evenings. Please reach out if this fits your schedule.
