Arlene Ramirez

Hello/Hola, my name is Arlene Ramirez (She/Her/Hers/Ella). As the eldest daughter of Mexican immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, my life journey has profoundly shaped my perspective as a therapist. I have dedicated much of my early work to serving within the Latinx/Spanish-speaking and broader BIPOC communities, which deeply informs my work. During my master's program at California State University, Fullerton (M.S., 2023), I had the opportunity to engage in the "Ánimo: Latinx Counseling Concentration" which strengthened my understanding of cultural identity and its role in healing from a therapeutic perspective. I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (CA #138430) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (CA #13571) and under direct supervision of Dr. Hubbis D. Fabian., Ph.D., LMFT (CA #135664).

In our work together, you can expect a non-judgmental, collaborative, and casual space. I'll meet you with warmth, empathy and sometimes even humor because therapy is a collective healing process, and you don't have to do it alone. I tend to work from a trauma-informed, compassionate, and mindfulness-based framework that includes inner-child work to help you heal past wounds. I am there to support you and tailor our work to your specific needs and goals. We'll work together to strengthen the way you see yourself and the world around you. Most importantly, help you feel more empowered and connected to yourself.

Whether you have never been to therapy before or are attempting therapy again, healing and growth can be a lifelong journey. Perhaps you've been feeling the weight of anxiety, the exhaustion of burnout, or persistent imposter syndrome. I am passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating these and other challenges, including depression, childhood trauma, attachment difficulties and identity issues. I often utilize complementary frameworks such as intersectionality and the biopsychosocial and cultural model to foster self-awareness and empowerment. I believe that exploring how your personal and cultural experiences have shaped you is a powerful step toward healing.
